BQ27541DRZT-V200 is a single-cell Li-Ion battery fuel gauge from Texas Instruments utilizing proprietary Impedance Track™ technology for high-accuracy capacity prediction. Designed as a microcontroller peripheral for battery pack integration, this device provides fuel gauging for single-cell Li-Ion battery packs and can be interrogated by a system processor to provide cell information such as state-of-charge (SOC), time-to-empty (TTE), and time-to-full (TTF).[reference:0]
The BQ27541DRZT-V200 measures cell voltage, temperature, and current to determine battery state-of-charge. It monitors charge and discharge activity and uses Texas Instruments' proprietary Impedance Track™ algorithm to achieve state-of-charge predictions with less than 1% error across a wide variety of operating conditions and over the lifetime of the battery.[reference:1]
Information is accessed through a series of commands via the I²C interface. The device provides 96 bytes of user-programmable data flash memory, partitioned into three 32-byte blocks: Manufacturer Info Block A, Manufacturer Info Block B, and Manufacturer Info Block C.[reference:2] The BQ27541DRZT-V200 is available in a compact 12-lead SON (DRZ) package and is rated for operation from –40°C to +85°C.[reference:3] The V200 suffix denotes firmware version 2.00, which provides enhancements over the previous G1 version (1.12).[reference:4]
Impedance Track™ Technology Proprietary algorithm achieves less than 1% SOC error across a wide variety of operating conditions and over the lifetime of the battery.[reference:5]
High Integration & Low Power 96 bytes of user-programmable flash memory and internal temperature sensor in a compact 12-lead SON package.[reference:6]
V200 Firmware Enhanced firmware version 2.00 with Impedance Track™ improvements over version 1.12.[reference:7]
