DAC8564ICPWR is a low-power, voltage-output, quad-channel, 16-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from Texas Instruments. The device includes a 2.5V, 2ppm/°C internal reference (enabled by default), providing a 2.5V full-scale output voltage range. The internal reference has an initial accuracy of 0.004% and can source up to 20mA at the VREFH/VREFOUT pin.
The DAC8564ICPWR is a monolithic solution offering excellent linearity while significantly reducing harmful code-to-code glitch impulses. The device uses a versatile 3-wire serial interface operating at clock rates up to 50MHz, compatible with standard SPI, QSPI, Microwire, and DSP interfaces. The DAC8564 incorporates a power-on reset circuit that ensures the DAC output powers up at zero-scale and remains in this state until a valid code is written to the device.
The device includes a power-down feature accessible via the serial interface, reducing supply current to 1.3µA at 5V. Power consumption at 3V is 2.9mW, reduced to 1.5µW in power-down mode. The low power consumption, internal reference, and small package size make these devices ideal for portable, battery-powered applications. The DAC8564ICPWR is available in a 16-lead TSSOP package with a 4.40mm body width, rated for operation from –40°C to +105°C. The device is RoHS compliant (ROHS3), REACH unaffected, and in active production.
