LM293MDREP is an Enhanced Product (EP) dual differential comparator from Texas Instruments, part of the LM293-EP family. The device consists of two independent voltage comparators designed to operate from a single power supply over a wide range of voltages. Operation from dual supplies is also possible as long as the difference between the two supplies is 2 V to 36 V[reference:0].
The LM293MDREP operates with a supply voltage range of 2 V to 36 V single supply, or ±1 V to ±18 V dual supply[reference:1]. It features a typical response time of 1.3 µs, low input bias current of 25 nA typical, and low input offset voltage of 2 mV typical[reference:2]. The outputs can be connected to other open-collector outputs to achieve wired-AND relationships[reference:3].
The EP designation provides support for defense, aerospace, and medical applications with controlled baseline, extended product life cycle, extended product-change notification, product traceability, and qualification pedigree[reference:4][reference:5]. The "M" in the part number indicates extended ("Military") temperature range of –55°C to 125°C, "D" indicates the SOIC package, and "R" indicates reel shipping option[reference:6]. The LM293MDREP is offered in an 8-lead SOIC (D) package and is rated for operation from –55°C to +125°C[reference:7][reference:8].
