LT3010MPMS8E-5#TRPBF is a high-voltage, micropower, low-dropout linear regulator from Analog Devices. The device is capable of supplying 50mA of output current with a dropout voltage of only 300mV, operating over an input voltage range of 3V to 80V[reference:0].
Designed for use in battery-powered or high-voltage systems, the LT3010 features an ultra-low quiescent current of 30µA in normal operation and just 1µA in shutdown, making it an ideal choice for always-on and power-sensitive applications[reference:1]. The regulator is stable with only a 1µF output capacitor and requires no additional ESR for stability, unlike many older regulators that require 10µF to 100µF[reference:2].
The LT3010-5 is the fixed 5V output version of the family. Internal protection circuitry includes reverse-battery protection, current limiting, thermal limiting, and reverse current protection[reference:3]. The device is offered in a thermally enhanced 8-lead MSOP package with an exposed pad, which significantly improves heat transfer from the die to the circuit board[reference:4].
The LT3010MPMS8E-5#TRPBF is the MP-grade version, tested and guaranteed over the full –55°C to +125°C operating junction temperature range. The device is AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications, RoHS compliant, and in active production.
Wide 3V to 80V Input Range Fixed 5V output with 50mA output current capability, suitable for high-voltage and battery-powered systems.
Ultra-Low Quiescent Current 30µA operating and 1µA in shutdown, with quiescent current well controlled in dropout.
Thermally Enhanced MSOP Package 8-lead MSOP with exposed pad, reducing junction-to-ambient thermal resistance to 30°C/W–40°C/W on a typical board.
