LT3094EMSE#TRPBF is a high-performance negative low-dropout linear regulator from Analog Devices featuring Linear Technology's ultralow noise and ultrahigh PSRR architecture for powering noise-sensitive applications.[reference:0] Designed as a precision current reference followed by a high-performance voltage buffer, the LT3094 can be easily paralleled to further reduce noise, increase output current, and spread heat on the PCB.[reference:1][reference:2]
The LT3094EMSE#TRPBF operates with an input voltage range of −1.8V to −20V and delivers an adjustable output voltage from 0V to −19.5V.[reference:3][reference:4] It supplies 500mA at a typical 235mV dropout voltage.[reference:5] Operating quiescent current is nominally 2.35mA and drops to 3µA in shutdown.[reference:6][reference:7]
The device offers ultralow RMS noise of 0.8µVRMS (10Hz to 100kHz) and ultralow spot noise of 2.2nV/√Hz at 10kHz, with ultrahigh PSRR of 74dB at 1MHz.[reference:8] The LT3094's wide output voltage range (0V to −19.5V) error amplifier operates in unity-gain and provides virtually constant output noise, PSRR, bandwidth, and load regulation independent of the programmed output voltage.[reference:9] The regulator features programmable current limit, fast start-up capability, programmable power-good to indicate output voltage regulation, and a VIOC pin that controls an upstream regulator to minimize power dissipation and optimize PSRR.[reference:10] The LT3094 is stable with a minimum 10µF ceramic output capacitor.[reference:11] The LT3094EMSE#TRPBF is offered in a 12-lead MSOP-EP package with an exposed pad and is rated for operation from –40°C to +125°C. The device is recommended for new designs and is in active production.[reference:12][reference:13][reference:14]
