MPQ8626GD-P is a fully integrated, high-frequency, synchronous step-down converter from Monolithic Power Systems (MPS). The device offers a very compact solution that achieves up to 6A of output current with excellent load and line regulation over a wide input supply range.[reference:2]
The MPQ8626GD-P operates with an input voltage range of 2.85V to 16V with an external 3.3V VCC bias, or 4V to 16V with internal VCC bias.[reference:3][reference:4] The output voltage is adjustable from 0.6V up to 6V (0.9 × VIN).[reference:5][reference:6] The device adopts an internally compensated constant-on-time (COT) control that provides fast transient response and eases loop stabilization.[reference:7]
The operating frequency can be set to 600kHz, 1100kHz, or 2000kHz easily with MODE configuration, allowing the MPQ8626 frequency to remain constant regardless of the input and output voltages.[reference:8] The output voltage start-up ramp is controlled by an internal 1.5ms timer, which can be increased by adding a capacitor on TRK/REF.[reference:9] An open-drain power good (PGOOD) signal indicates if the output is within its nominal voltage range.[reference:10] Full protection features include over-current protection (OCP), over-voltage protection (OVP), under-voltage protection (UVP), and over-temperature protection (OTP).[reference:11] The MPQ8626GD-P is offered in a compact QFN-14 (2mm × 3mm) package and is rated for operation from –40°C to +125°C junction temperature.[reference:12][reference:13] The device is RoHS compliant, REACH unaffected, and in active production.[reference:14]
