SN74LV244AMDWREP is an Enhanced Product (EP) octal buffer and line driver from Texas Instruments, part of the SN74LV244A-EP family. The device is designed for 2-V to 5.5-V VCC operation and is specifically intended to improve both the performance and density of 3-state memory address drivers, clock drivers, and bus-oriented receivers and transmitters.[reference:0][reference:1]
The device is organized as two 4-bit line drivers with separate output-enable (OE) inputs. When OE is low, the device passes data from the A inputs to the Y outputs. When OE is high, the outputs are in the high-impedance state.[reference:2][reference:3] To ensure the high-impedance state during power up or power down, OE should be tied to VCC through a pullup resistor.[reference:4]
The SN74LV244A-EP supports mixed-mode voltage operation on all ports and features Ioff circuitry that disables the outputs, preventing damaging current backflow through the devices when they are powered down.[reference:5][reference:6] The EP designation provides support for defense, aerospace, and medical applications with controlled baseline, extended product life cycle, extended product-change notification, product traceability, and qualification pedigree.[reference:7] The SN74LV244AMDWREP is offered in a 20-lead SOIC (DW) package and is rated for operation from –55°C to +125°C.[reference:8]
Octal Buffer/Driver Eight channels organized as two 4-bit line drivers with independent output-enable (OE) inputs.
Wide Voltage Operation 2-V to 5.5-V VCC operation with 6.5 ns max propagation delay at 5 V.
Enhanced Product (EP) Supports defense, aerospace, and medical applications with –55°C to 125°C temperature range and qualification pedigree.
