TPS5450MDDAREP is a high-output-current pulse-width modulated (PWM) step-down converter from Texas Instruments, part of the SWIFT™ family of DC/DC regulators. The device integrates a low-resistance high-side N-channel MOSFET, enabling high-efficiency power conversion with minimal external components[reference:0].
The TPS5450MDDAREP operates from a wide input voltage range of 5.5V to 36V and delivers up to 5A continuous (6A peak) output current. The output voltage is adjustable down to 1.22V with 1.5% initial accuracy[reference:1]. The device features a fixed 500kHz switching frequency, internal Type III compensation, and voltage-mode control with input voltage feed-forward for improved line regulation and transient response[reference:2][reference:3].
As an Enhanced Product (EP), the TPS5450MDDAREP supports defense, aerospace, and medical applications with controlled baseline, one assembly/test/fabrication site, extended product life cycle, extended product-change notification, and full product traceability[reference:4]. The device is qualified for automotive applications (AEC-Q100) and is available in a small, thermally enhanced 8-pin SOIC PowerPAD™ package[reference:5][reference:6].
5A Output Current Up to 5A continuous (6A peak) output current with 110-mΩ integrated high-side MOSFET for high efficiency.
