DAC8564IDGST is a low-power, voltage-output, four-channel, 16-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from Texas Instruments[reference:3][reference:4]. The device includes a 2.5V, 2ppm/°C internal reference (enabled by default), giving a full-scale output voltage range of 2.5V[reference:5][reference:6]. The internal reference has an initial accuracy of 0.004% and can source up to 20mA at the VREFH/VREFOUT pin[reference:7][reference:8][reference:9].
The device is monotonic, provides very good linearity, and minimizes undesired code-to-code transient voltages (glitch)[reference:10][reference:11]. The DAC8564 uses a versatile 3-wire serial interface that operates at clock rates up to 50MHz, compatible with standard SPI, QSPI, Microwire, and DSP interfaces[reference:12][reference:13][reference:14].
The DAC8564 incorporates a power-on-reset circuit that ensures the DAC output powers up at zero-scale and remains there until a valid code is written to the device[reference:15][reference:16][reference:17]. The device contains a power-down feature, accessed over the serial interface, that reduces the current consumption to 1.3µA at 5V[reference:18][reference:19]. Power consumption is 2.9mW at 3V, reducing to 1.5µW in power-down mode[reference:20][reference:21][reference:22]. The DAC8564IDGST is available in a 10-lead VSSOP package (DGK) with a 3.00mm × 3.00mm footprint, rated for operation from –40°C to +105°C[reference:23][reference:24][reference:25]. The device is RoHS compliant, REACH unaffected, and in active production.
