STM32H523RET6 is a high-performance microcontroller from STMicroelectronics belonging to the STM32H5 series, based on the Arm® Cortex®-M33 32-bit RISC core operating at frequencies up to 250 MHz[reference:0]. The Cortex-M33 core features a single-precision floating-point unit (FPU) that supports all Arm single-precision data-processing instructions and data types, along with a full set of DSP instructions and a memory protection unit (MPU) that enhances application security[reference:1].
The device embeds high-speed memories including 512 KB of dual-bank Flash memory with ECC and 272 KB of SRAM (80 KB SRAM2 with ECC), along with a flexible external memory controller (FMC) for devices with 100 pins and more, one OCTOSPI memory interface, and an extensive range of enhanced I/Os and peripherals connected to three APB buses, three AHB buses, and a 32-bit multi-AHB bus matrix[reference:2].
The STM32H523RET6 offers security foundation compliant with the Arm Trusted-Based Security Architecture (TBSA) requirements, featuring TrustZone® with Armv8-M mainline security extension, secure firmware installation, flexible life cycle management with multiple protection levels, and secure debug authentication[reference:3][reference:4]. The device operates from a 1.71 V to 3.6 V power supply[reference:5] and is offered in a 64-lead LQFP package with a 10.00mm × 10.00mm footprint, rated for operation from –40°C to +85°C[reference:6][reference:7]. The device is in active production.
